Lisannes Wellness Center Diabetes and Insulin Resistance Correcting Program There are 20.8 million or 7% of the population, who have diabetes. There are another 54 million Americans who have pre-diabetes, which will progress to diabetes unless lifestyle modifications are implemented.
Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. A rise in blood glucose after eating is supposed to stimulate production of the hormone insulin in the pancreas, and the insulin released into the bloodstream should keep blood sugar levels within a safe and usable range. But when the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas are not functioning normally, glucose levels remain high. If this situation becomes chronic, the stage is set for diabetes to occur. Adults who have been diagnosed with diabetes or have a high-risk of diabetes can prevent or delay its onset through Lisanne’s Wellness Center’s Diabetes and Insulin Resistance treatment program. Our program embraces lifestyle changes that include proper diet, high quality nutritional supplementation, structural balance, stress reduction, and exercise. Once the diet has improved, cleansing and detoxification techniques can be utilized to further improve health. To correct the structural level in diabetes, we will use Applied Kinesiology to detect malfunctions in the organs and systems that are involved in the handling of blood sugar. This will include various aspects of the endocrine system, the digestive system and the balance of the autonomic nervous system. We will concentrate on the pancreas, which proper function is necessary for the regulation of increased and decreased glucose levels. Next, we will check the liver, which regulates the blood sugar by the storage and release of glycogen. Finally, we will examine the adrenals since they help regulate blood sugar by the release of cortisol, which stimulates glyconeogenesis in the liver. The second correction is the chemical level which includes diet modifications, organ and nutritional supplementation, allergy elimination technique, and detoxification. Diet modification is tailored to each individual, although most consist of eliminating refined carbohydrates. Vana Chrom is a specific supplement to enhance pancreatic function and augment its ability to handle blood sugar levels. DSF is a supplement to stimulate adrenal function and aid in decreasing cortisol release, to reduce stress. Total Liver Detox is used to decongest the liver and optimize its functions in controlling blood sugar levels. Other important nutritional supplements for managing glucose and insulin levels include alpha-lipoic acid, essential fatty acids as well as the minerals magnesium, chromium, and zinc. Next, we eliminate food allergies and sensitivities since they can exacerbate diabetes symptoms by causing inflammation. They can also destroy insulin-producing cells in the pancreas due to autoimmune reactions. We use a specialized technique, called Allergy/sensitivity elimination and reprogramming technique, or A/SERT. A/SERT is a specific protocol to rewrite the script of the body so it no longer reacts to the allergens as it did before. We identify the offending substance, eliminate it temporarily, and then reprogram the body to react in a healthy manner to the substance. Finally, we use an ionic detoxification cleanse to remove heavy metals from the body. These heavy metals and toxins interfere with the organs of the body, like the liver, which decrease the body’s regulation of blood sugar. The third and final level of correction is the mental side of the triad. At this stage we focus on Stress Reduction. Because the effects of chronic stress lead to elevated blood sugar levels, you need to incorporate relaxation and rejuvenation techniques into your daily routine. Some of the mind/body techniques that are shown to be helpful to diabetics are color therapy, sound therapy, and guided imagery.
